Reviews

I like buying toys; not just for the baby. I like letting other people know when I find a toy I like, and also when I find something I don’t like. That’s why I created this page, so I could give you my opinion on a few of the things I’ve bought (or been given) and tried out. You won’t see any recipes here, coupon codes, or discounts for man purses either. I also really like movies and television, so what you will see are some product reviews, and some service reviews, and lots of movie reviews. You may not have time to watch many movies being a busy father, but if you do, make sure to check here first.

1800Flowers is the Stinking Shithouse of the Floral Industry

Last year, I got an email from a marketing intern at 1800Flowers, which I wrote about on this blog in a post titled “Advertisers Leave Me Alone.”  In it, the intern was trying to get dads to write about 1800flowers in their blogs…for free, and then to link to the 1800flowers web store.  She blathered (not [...]

Printable Fun for You and Your Kids

Last time I posted a sponsored article one of my readers bitched and moaned like there was no end, so here is a disclaimer for you right up front. This is a sponsored post by Scholastic Printables. Advertisers, Please Leave Me Alone

I read somewhere about how blogs are quickly becoming a more trusted source for consumers than traditional media, and how more people prefer recommendations from their blogger friends than from some random company advertisement. On the surface, that all sounds like great news for bloggers, but unfortunately, most advertisers don’t want to actually pay for [...]

The Best Christmas Music and Classic Christmas Songs

Christmas Music Rocks

Great Christmas music elicits emotion and, more than any other genre, it lifts your spirits and can make your entire day bright and cheery. That’s why I listen to Christmas music all year round. No joke. If I own two hundred albums on CD or in Itunes, half of them are Christmas albums. It’s kind [...]

A New Culture of Shopping Awareness – Blog Product Reviews

Both men and women love to get a good deal on a product.  Sure, we typically buy different products and that is one of the reasons we shop differently. Most guys I know would probably pay $8,000 for a working Star Wars Light Saber signed by George Lucas, and most women wouldn’t.  Along the same [...]

CinematicMethod is a great movie review, preview, and podcast website

CinematicMethod.com Movie Reviews & Podcast

I wasted more time on the Cinematic Method movie review website than any other site this week. Wasted isn’t really the right word, because I loved every minute of it, but I did spend way too much time there. I’ve always wanted to run a movie review website for a couple of reasons: I love watching [...]
