Common Household Items Used as Baby Toys – The Wet Paper Towel

in Common Household Items Used as Baby Toys

Every now and then baby girl has a tough day, and expresses herself with a mini temper tantrum and crying meltdown.  And I completely understand. It gets boring having absolutely no responsibility other than rockin’ the diaper four or five times a day, covering herself from head to toe with food meant to go in her tummy, and of course…torturing the dog.

But, no matter how bad the day gets, there’s always one thing that cools it out and makes everything all better – the wet paper towel.

This morning, after she had a shorter than normal nap, and when I momentarily moved her away from the Lego pile, she broke into the tears and carried on like I just stabbed her in the eye with her pacifier.  So I walked her over to the kitchen sink, soaked a paper towel, and rung it out a bit before handing it over to the little drama queen.  Here’s what happened the moment she get her hands on it.

Smiles once again! When all else fails, the wet paper towel is my ace in the hole, able to turn that frown upside down in no time at all. More fun than a slinky, and at a penny per gallon of water, the wet paper towel is one of the cheapest toys around.

Hilarious, my daughter loves empty plastic water bottles and those cardboard toilet paper rolls.  Weird!

Yeah, ours loves plastic bottles too, the problem is, the dog was semi trained with plastic bottles, so when he sees one hit the floor he kind of goes crazy, so no more plastic bottles for baby.

Thanks @violetsouffle:twitter , we think she’s a cutey too, but then again we’re extremely biased.  As a side note, I really like your site, especially the photography.

Hadn’t thought of that, but it’s a great idea.  As a side note, are you familiar with my friend Paula? She’s in the financial services department at Seattle U too.
