Daddy by Default's Link Love List

I follow almost 100 hundred blogs through Google Reader, including mom blogs, dad blogs, tech blogs, a few business blogs, and even a couple of personal improvement/leadership blogs like MichaelHyatt.com, which I’ve written about on this site previously. Each day, I have about 60-70 new RSS feeds, and believe it or not I read them all.  What I’d like to do in this post is highlight a few links from the blogosphere that I like, love, and find very helpful.  I think I’ll call it my Link Love List #1.

Check out these links.  Why?  Because I said so! (I used to hate when my dad said that, but it works so well).

Dad Blogs

Howtobeadad.com consistently puts out good material and is one of the best dad blogs out there. If you are a dad long enough, you will eventually see your kid eat his boogers.  Don’t fret, the guys at Howtobeadad.com have listed all the booger nutritional information in a handy instructional diagram called Booger Nutrition Facts.

DaddyDynamics is a new blog, and a really good one. He’s about to have a baby, his wife actually, and he’s blogging about the stress and humor leading up to that event.  His post Top 5 Signs Your Wife is Going Into Labor is great. Give it a read.

Mom Blogs

Shell at ThingsIcantSay.com writes about the Whines of Potty Training.  Pretty funny post, and cool site overall. She speaks the truth.

Tech Blogs

I get excited when I see posts about apps for dads, and while this next link isn’t an app post, it will help keep your iphone running so you can spend more time playing games. From hightechdad.com about replacing the battery in your Iphone.

Other

Jeff Goins is one of those probloggers, but out of them all he consistently writes good shit. Not spammy, no cheap sales techniques, just good stuff. Here’s one he did on Writing for Yourself.

Social Media

Social media is such a big part of our lives these days, and I think SM usage will only increase.  I’m always annoyed by people who get a twitter account and then only send out links to stuff they’re selling or a new post notice.  That’s why I like and use Twitter, in particular, because there is real conversation going on there.

The following is a list of twitter names I follow AND whose tweets I find to be engaging.

@adaddyblog  |  @M_oa_SD   |   @Babiesonline   |   @mommyinsider   |   @metroplexbaby   |   @Timoty_Hughes   |   @biculturalmama

Just Because

Here are a few blogs to read, you know, just because:
