This week’s Site of the Week is Dad’s Hideout, a place for dads and men who will soon become dads. Not too long ago we wrote an article about building your own man cave in your home. Dad’s Hideout is basically the online version of the man cave, and it’s a very cool place to be.
New fathers can join the dad’s hideout community of experienced dads and learn from the thousands of posts on more than a dozen forum boards concerning every topic on which a new dad could possibly have a question. I’ve been on the site just a few short weeks and have read articles on topics like parenting advice, video game consoles for mac and pc, and tech gear for guys.
Being a forum, dad’s hideout offers true community interaction. It’s more than just static articles and posts. At dad’s hideout, the conversations come alive, and the fan base is very active. Just looking at the forum post counts, you’ll see almost 100,000 active topics, and the times when i posted, I received replies very quickly and have been engaged on the site for hours.
Not only is dad’s hideout a great place to meet other fathers and discuss everything from family to video games; but you can also win prizes, buy or sell items and toys with other fathers, and trade pictures.
If you’re looking for a deeper connection to the dad community and to get some really great advice on parenting, head over to dads hideout. Like most forums, to post you’ll need to sign up, which is free and relatively painless. Happy surfing.
