Last time I posted a sponsored article one of my readers bitched and moaned like there was no end, so here is a disclaimer for you right up front. This is a sponsored post by Scholastic Printables. Though, anyone who knows my writing and reads this blog on a regular basis knows I wouldn’t write about anything I don’t use myself or highly recommend from personal experience. Anyway, with that said, here’s the good stuff…

I am a freak with processes and task lists. I love templates too. If I can make a template for anything that makes my life easier I will spend the time upfront to do it. That’s why I always thought I would add some cool downloadable templates on Daddy by Default, specifically things parents could find useful.
It’s one of the reasons I created a nanny contract, though my recent experiences with hiring a nanny have been less than successful. You can read about that folly here: Dead Beat Nannies. I also offered Facebook timeline templates, and a few other goodies for free downloads.
Now that my daughter is starting to get into coloring and art, I’ve been spending a ton of time on sites that give you downloadable coloring prints. We zap them off the computer, and I throw them right on her Dora the Explorer art table so she can color beside me while I get some work done.
Coloring Books Can Be Printed Online
I always thought I’d do some of these coloring sketches myself and offer them online for other parents, but I didn’t realize how many sites out there already offer them. But you have to be careful because there are alot of crappy sites out there too offering downloadable worksheets that are not fit for kids. Seriously, you’d be surprised at some of the obscene things out there people pass off as kids coloring books.
Printable Math Learning Worksheets
I’ve also been downloading learning worksheets for her, and although she’s just learning numbers and counting, I still think it’s good for her to see this stuff. They include fun exercises that works in learning to math problems. You get to color numbers and shapes and they’re fun to do with your kids.
Plus, everyone knows Scholastic, and respects what they publish. They are a very reputable kids printing company and have been cranking out great stuff for children for decades. Heck, I remember the Scholastic book fair coming to my school when I was in elementary school. I loved it.
Well, if you didn’t already know it, Scholastic has some great downloadable math worksheets for kids of nearly any age. Specifically, you might checkout Scholastic’s math worksheets for third graders if you have a third grader, or for the younger ones – 2nd Grade Math Worksheets.
It’s never too early to get a jump on learning, and with winter coming up – you’ll need some safe and fun exercises for home!
