Daddy by Default’s Site of the Week feature is MyBlessedHome.net, a great blog which gives you a rare glimpse into the daily life of a family of 10.
Complete with tips on homeschooling, parenting advice, product video reviews, and even some slice of life humor thrown in for good measure. What’s more is the family is deeply rooted in Christian beliefs and their faith is evident in many of their posts.
The charm of the site, in my opinion, comes from the personal touch on the advice columns which include topics like organizing your home, natural living, and making family come first, a theme which runs through much of the content. You’ll notice there is no ego on the site, like many other mommy or daddy sites which claim to have all the answers. The material you find at MyBlessedHome.net was lived by the parents, and the kids, all whom take turns at contributing to the site’s content.
For example, one of my favorite articles, Parenting: What No Expert Can Tell You, is a very well written article with some down to earth advice. No magic parenting schemes or fancy doctor quotes, just good, common sense advice and a few of the really important things you should be thinking of as a new parent.
If you want a feel good story about a real family who gets it, and puts it out there so other people can learn from it, head on over to MyBlessedHome.net and give it a read.
